John Hare
Pastor
Pastor John has been at Cardinal since June 2021.  Having grown up in Mechanicsville, VA, John has had a heart for this region of Virginia since he was called to ministry in college.  He is a graduate from Liberty University (B.A) and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv., Th.M).  He is married to his beautiful wife Caitlin, and they have been blessed with three children: Adalyn, Ben, and Blakely.  John has a passion to teach the Word of God and shape people as disciples of Jesus Christ who will go out and live Gospel-centered lives.  His desire is to lead Cardinal to be a Gospel movement who makes disciples that makes disciples in Caroline County, Virginia, and around the globe.

Karen Mayo
Administrative Assistant
Children's Ministry Director
Karen is a Caroline County native and she has been a part of what God has been doing at Cardinal since its founding in 1986.  She is married to her husband Mike, and they have two teenage daughters, Hannah and Abbie.  Karen has a passion for teaching the Gospel to children and leading children to grow in the foundation of their faith in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
